As the Kucharsky String Quartet, their inaugural performance of Debussy and Haydn quartets drew exemplary comments and was described as electrifying. Prior to this they had performed on a number of occasions including twice at Buckingham Palace, for private events hosted by members of the Royal Family.

They are each highly successful career musicians in their own right, performing in acclaimed chamber groups and having been principal players in the named orchestras around the UK. The unique sound of the quartet comes from the Hungarian heritage of the first violin, Valeria Kucharsky.
